Last September when I first arranged the cactuses in a bowl, I had high hopes for it. It was actually a trial project to see, 1. whether cactusses brought from Cameron Highland can lasts in KL climate, and 2. whether it can survive as indoor plants sharing a bowl amongst them.
Well, as you can see from the left picture above, the finished project of Cactus in a Bowl and on the right is the bowl after almost 3 months. When one by one a few cactuses started to die, I was clueless on what to do. I still am now, but yesterday when I shop around, I saw some cute cactusses for sale. And they're pretty cheap too.
So I bought four new cactusses to replace the ones that didn't survive the project. I'll probably do it after coming back from my vacation next week.

Hello Ydiana, it is only when a plant dies we become a better gardener. It makes us think, wonder and then we improve, then enjoy....a plant dies to make you enjoy the next ones to come.
Have fun....and your cactus are very nice.
I have always loved them....
You have a nice day Ydiana, best regards, Lee.
Hi Lee
Yep, its the challenge of gardening, and also a process of learning to have plants died on us.
TQ!
Hi Diana, kenapa 3 months after tanah kaktus dalam balang tu kaler lain? Is the soil drying up? Anyway, good luck in your part 2 cactus project! :)
Hi Intan
Yes, I think when I took the new photo, dah lama tak siram cactus tu. Sebab tu drying up and...maybe why some died. Hehehe...
Another reason maybe the soil is lacking nutritions, and in need of some fertiliser, which I also still havent' find out what to use. Soon, after this I'll get them nourished again. :)
Salam ydiana,
Wah! Going on vacation to get away from a vacation? I wanna go too! :)
