Apple Green at Work

Suddenly I am in the mood for baking.... And it happens one after another! Looks like I'm on a roll! Lol!

And I've added it as another interest or hobby. Must have something to do with some motivational reward? Apple Green?

See what's been cooking the last 3 days!

Potato Bread

Sugared Bread Rolls

This one needs no introduction.

Melting time...!

Gone in 15 minutes...!

Recipes are available upon request! Lol! (I'm serious...!)

Hi Anya

(Blushing..) I'm still learning! But I'm very happy with the outcome.

They all tastes good this time. The potato bread is tender and fluffy, the sugared bread rolls is light and slightly chewy, and obviously sweet. The pizza, I won't say heavenly, since you don't like it! Hahaha.. ;)

Hello Ydiana, wow! Everyone looks delicious. I was sniffing the air wondering where the lovely scent was from...your kitchen, ha ha.
Outstading, Ydiana!
Ada lagi left over. Sure would go well with iced coffee, local.

Ydiana, while you're on a roll or still rolling, try this....I assure you, you'll get all shook up, and nobody will step on your blue suede shoes, ha ha.
This happens to be Elvis Presley's favorite cake, made by his Mom Gladys, later his cook.

Play his CD, while baking, cake taste better, ha ha. Have fun, Lee.

ELVIS PRESLEY'S POUND CAKE

3 cups granulated sugar
1/2 pound butter, softened
7 eggs, at room temperature
3 cups cake flour, sifted twice, divided
1 cup whipping cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Butter and flour a 10-inch tube pan.

Thoroughly cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in half the flour, then the whipping cream , then the other half of the flour.

Add vanilla extract. Pour batter into prepared pan. Set in a COLD oven and turn heat to 350 degrees F. Bake 60 to 70 minutes, until a sharp knife inserted in cake comes out clean.

Cool in pan 5 minutes. Remove from pan and cool thoroughly.
Then invite Uncle Lee come for coffee.

I'm all shook up..uuhh uuhh.

Hi Uncle Lee

Wow, thanks for the recipe! Have you or your wife tried it yet?

This pound cake looks like a recipe for butter cake. Guess its the same, different name. First cake I baked many many moons ago, except no whipping cream, and maybe the measurement.

Sure, do drop by for tea next weekend, bring over an Elvis CD and I'll serve you with the local ice coffee from Muar .... will it be white or black? :)

Hi Chahya

Sure, you want which recipe? All of 'em? Haha... I'll email you soon! :)

Except for the custard filling for the potato bread, which use the microwave, the rest you need to use conventional oven. Unless your microwave ada that baking function la.
